Plumbing Field Supervisor Job Description
Boston Budget Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is hiring an experienced plumber ready to take the next step in their career as a Plumbing Field Supervisor.
This is a hands-on, player-coach role where you'll lead primarily through example. The majority of your time will be spent operating your own service truck, serving customers, and performing high-quality plumbing work while acting as a technical resource for the rest of the team.
In addition to running a successful truck, you'll provide phone support to technicians, assist with complex diagnostics, support apprentice development, and periodically lead larger projects, boiler installations, or challenging field situations when additional expertise is needed.

Project Leadership
Take the lead on larger or more complex plumbing projects as needed
Support challenging boiler installations, system upgrades, and specialty work
Assist with project planning, materials, and execution
Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Technical Leadership & Field Support
Operate your own service truck and maintain strong production, customer satisfaction, and workmanship standards
Lead by example through professionalism, technical excellence, and customer service
Provide phone and field support to technicians facing difficult diagnostic or installation challenges
Assist with plumbing code interpretation and best practices
Serve as the go-to resource for escalated technical issues
Support the team in solving problems while keeping jobs moving efficiently
Take the lead on larger or more complex plumbing projects as needed
Support challenging boiler installations, system upgrades, and specialty work
Assist with project planning, materials, and execution
Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Apprentice & Technician Development
Mentor apprentices and developing technicians through ride-alongs and field coaching
Share technical knowledge and best practices
Help develop the next generation of plumbers through hands-on training
